Our name says it all! Pages are the are the special books we create, Pens are the Authors, Illustrators, Educators, and more who donate their time and talent for Children's Literacy. Paws are the Therapy Animals and Animal Assisted Reading Programs we promote.
Our
Story
The Pages, Pens & Paws Foundation is focused on advocating for Children's Literacy through Books, Events, and Animal Assisted Reading Programs. Our specially crafted books are filled with heartwarming, fun, and inspirational stories highlighting the world of Pet Therapy and the important role it plays in our communities. We pair our books with Animal Assisted Reading Programs & Literacy Events including educational activities based on the storyline of the book. The proceeds from the books are funnelled directly back into our Children's Literacy Foundation. Every book purchased helps send more children to our literacy programs!

Children's Book Series
A series of books highlighting the world of Pet Therapy and the amazing experiences that happen. These books and the literacy content that go with them are designed to enhance your existing pet therapy literacy programs. Each book has discussion questions, educational points, and links to interactive activities.
Small Group
Literacy Event
A literacy event paired with animal therapy. Get motivated to read with a furry friend by your side! Participants will have a chance to participate in a Storytime, read with their new friend, work on special literacy content, and takeaway an experience to last them a lifetime. These events are perfect for classrooms, libraries, community events and more!
Large Group
Literacy Event
Get excited about literacy with a motivational event designed to inspire young readers with fun learning stations, small group reading exercises, and more! Meet & greets with authors, illustrators, and publishers who share their passion for children's literacy. This event is all about making literacy fun! These events are perfect for schools.
Founder
Nicole Selby
From an early age I developed a love of books. They captured me with their fairytales and stories of courage, transporting me to faraway places and unlikely heroes. Books provided me with the belief that anything was possible, because I had read it in a story.
As I got older I realized that the literary competence I gained from reading afforded me opportunities that did not exist for those who struggled to read. I was determined to do what I could to bring that same joy of reading to young children across the world, setting them on a path for success.
